My husband is not taking retirement very well. We have 2 1/2 acres and he spends a lot of time outside and he goes for walks for his diabetes and what he needs is a companion. He fell in love with Emma, a darling mini dachsund that belonged to my son's girlfriend. the girlfriend didn't work out so we don't see Emma any more, but I think what we need is an Emma of our own. If there is anyone you know who needs a loving home for a Mini Dachshund please let us know. We don't have a lot of money to buy a puppy, but I think we probably would do better with an older dog anyway. We would be glad to do homevisits to get aquainted.
