Well, It looks like we will actually make an opening for this season! A holiday sale at the EmeryBay Marketplace. It is the complex that has the Food Courts, Borders and also just opening (a new concept store) Peets Coffee, next door to us. Although we will be opening Friday ... we will still be putting the space together over the next month ... we'll have only had the keys for a week and it is a big space.

Hi-low ... This has been a very challenging time for many ... and for me! Yes, I know some of you think I walk on water ... to those I say I have also walked under water ... sinking ... then find myself once more buoyed by acceptance, appreciation, love, beauty and creativity ... and ala Wavy Gravy ... levity. This last year I have spent much time exploring many healing modalities with/for a love in distress. Of course, part of the challenge, as many of you caregivers know , is about how to care for ourselves in the process. How not to go down with the ship ... how to let the process heal us and expand our love, rather then make us sick and close our hearts.

WHAT WORKS:

COMMUNITY ... and asking/accepting help.

PUPPIES ... an animal that fits the energy level and needs (and allergies) is one of the most healing of medicines
<br>
LIFE'S BLESSINGS... make sure to get doses of life's pleasures ... beautiful sunsets, fresh air, hugs, yummy foods, shopping ... even though this may not be easy to do in many situations ... which brings up

GRATITUDE ... The appreciation for the roses we can stop to smell ... check out gogratitude.com

and speaking of gratitude ... lets have some "shots out" for our caregivers!

N GRATITUDE to all caregivers ... I have many friends who have made amazing contributions to the world in terms of bringing peace, ease, beauty, comfort, inspiration, truth and consciousness. These feats are no more challenging and may be easier (because you get appreciation for them), then what so many of you caregivers have been and are going through. The stories I hear are both heartbreaking and inspiring. Maybe one of you would like to collect these stories, write them so they can be shared ... maybe for mother's day. For now I would like to give appreciation ... true knowing of the "Sainthood Training" so many of you caregivers are in. And for those that aren't in that role now ... may be you can focus on giving to those that are this holiday season. I would like to see a collection of gifts, a resource of volunteers to give them appreciation, give them acknowledgment ... give them time off, $$, a day at the spa, a massage, a week/month in Hana.... cashmere ...
