Axel is available for our foster to adopt program! Axel is a 9-month-old, 13-pound male rat terrier / chihuahua mix from Texas. He is a laid-back, friendly, loyal pup. His foster states he has a very gentle heart. His foster reports he isn’t a big barker and is an excellent outdoor diner! She has taken him on many outdoor dining experiences and he just patiently sits or lays down at her feet. He is sweet to people and always wants to say hi to dogs. He treats his foster family’s chihuahua very well. He seems to have a bit of prey drive and likes to chase birds. Axel loves being with his family. When his foster mom is in the bathroom, he sits next to the bathroom door and waits for her. He has a bit of separation anxiety, and will whine when left alone. His foster mom is working on this and leaves him for longer each day. His forever family will need to show him more love and trust to relieve his separation anxiety. Axel is doing well understanding “sit�, “good boy�, and “no�.<br/>
