They are a special first generation doodle. This coat is non shedding, like the poodle. F1B doodles coats range from the soft curls to the straight hair, however all reports from adoptive parents have reported non-shed. This is great because it means they shed so little that you don't even notice it. This very low shed was one of our goals as Levi (our G-son) has asthma and although he tolerates dog allergies well, we know there are a lot of people that aren't that lucky.
